She looked down on her village that had been her home until she was 18 yrs old. Natalie was so sure she’d never return but as the catastrophe struck; all the members of the founding family were called to help out. It was a necessity as well as a duty of the founding family of the village to be there and if not physically then support mentally or morally. Natalie’s great grandfather had come here many years ago and set up camp. He slowly built a little society on the land and soon there was a whole village residing. He was the head of the village and took care of everything, from medical facilities to financial matters. He knew every little detail about the village and had solutions to every problem. He was a King in their little village and was lovingly called ‘King enchanting’. Soon after a tragedy struck the happy village; everybody was left devastated. “I really don’t want to go back there” said a terrified Natalie to her husband Jack. “You have to, for your family, for your grandfather who loved you so much and without whom you would not be living the life you are living now. “Yes, I know. Come on let’s get this over with” she said “You have to tell me what happened to you, why do you hate this place so much. This is your birth place, you should love coming here” he said. “I will tell you but right now we have to solve the crisis which is upon our village” Natalie said. They reached Natalie’s old house, the one she was born in and stayed there throughout her childhood. It smelled just the same as it did before, of wood and her mom’s delicious food. “Ah, you made it” said her mother Anna. “Hi mom, how are you? You look a little weak, are you not taking care of yourself?” she asked. “I’m fine darling, it’s you I’m worried about” said her mom. “I’m good mom, I’m living the life I wanted and I have the best husband in the world, what more could I ask for” said Natalie lovingly. “Ok, we’ll talk about it later, first sit down and have lunch both of you, you must be starving” said Anna. After lunch, they all sat down on the couch. “Mom what’s going on? Please tell me. I’m really worried” asked Natalie “Well honey, to tell you the truth something big has happened here. And I think it’s time that you should know the truth” said her mom. “I can’t take the suspense any longer, kindly tell me” said Natalie. “You remember your grandfather used to work in his study a lot and right before he died he practically used to live there? Do you remember?” she asked “Yes, I remember. But what has that got to do with our village?” asked Natalie. “He was an enchanter Natalie. We all are, and your great grandfather was like a king of the village, after he died he passed on the torch to your grandfather” explained her mom. “What are you talking about mom, how can this be? Why don’t I know about this? How do I not have any powers if we all are enchanters?” asked Natalie in one breath. “Calm down baby, your ancestors didn’t want to burden you with the truth and the responsibility that comes with being an enchanter. They wanted you to have a normal life. But after your grandfather passed away last year, our village has been exposed to evil powers. Right now they are on their way to attack us and the only way we can win the battle is if the blood line from this family assumes power and defeats the evil king Knievel” she explained. “Your great grandfather used to live in the mountains with his tribe many years ago, however when they were attacked by the evil forces they were able to defeat them but their village was destroyed and they were forced to move here on the other side of the land. When he died he explained everything and gave every power to your grandfather. Your grandfather did not wait till his last breath to talk to your father about it, he told him everything a few years after you were born and trained him like he wanted. Unfortunately both your father and your grandfather gave their lives for our village last summer” explained her mom further. Natalie and Jack were silent and looking at Anna with amazement.
