In the end, when he had nothing else left, he called Aria and asked her for help. She was also in shock.
“Why didn’t you tell me earlier, you fool? You should’ve called me as soon as possible” she said “I was scared, I thought you wouldn’t listen to me and tell me that this is all a joke” he said “I was angry with you but if you are in trouble I will definitely help you, my silly brother” she said
“Ok, so what do we do?” he asked “Hmm, we should contact the police first of all and then take it from there” she said “Are you crazy? What’s going to happen if they know we did this? They can kill me and my family including you” he said “Trust me brother, we would be better off if the police are with us. I’m telling you nothing will happen, just wait for me, I’m coming there and we will sort this out” she said and hung up. As soon as Aria reached Shane’s house they called the police and waited for them to come and make a plan of action. “Hello officer, please come in, I’m Aria. I was the one who called you” said Aria and took Officer Mc Cash inside the house. “Please have a seat. I will tell you everything that happened” said Shane “Well, to be honest, I was sceptical to call you but my sister here encouraged me” he said “Tell me what happened exactly?” asked the officer “Well, I got a phone call telling me to come to café Montana at 1 pm today. When I went there a lady showed up and told me to arrange $250,000 in 2 days time” he explained. “Did you recognize the lady?” asked the officer “No, I did not. Haven’t seen her before” “I got really tensed and started asking my friends for money. In the end, when nothing worked I called my sister and asked her to help me out” he continued. “What time do you have to go and deliver the money?” asked the officer “In a few hours; I’m really worried if they find out what will happen” he said “Calm down sir, we will be with you the whole time” said Officer Mc Cash. “But I don’t have the money, from where will I get the rest of it?” asked Shane “We will help you with that also” “How?” asked Shane “I can guess who the people are behind this ruckus. If we can just catch them red handed, it will be a big victory for the police department. I can try and get the remaining money sanctioned from the police department in about two hours and then we can go ahead with our plan. I will let you know as soon as I have the money” said the officer and left the house. Both of them were nervously waiting for Officer Mc Cash. Shane was walking up and down the hall and Aria kept telling him to relax which he wouldn’t. Knock knock Shane jumped at the sound of the knock and opened the door. It was Officer Mc Cash with the money. “Thank God you came, I was starting to think that you wouldn’t come back” said Shane. “I told you I would get the money. Now let’s proceed” he said As they left the apartment, Aria and Officer Mc Cash exited from the back and Shane alone exited from the front gate, in case anybody was keeping an eye on them. As he reached the café, he sat on a table and waited. “Well, I didn’t think you would make it but I’m glad you did it, I hope you got all of it. Better father than daughter” said the young woman who had met him two days earlier. “My daughter, what does she have to do with this?” Shane asked her. “We told her to get the money as well; we wanted the money at all costs, whether it was from you or your daughter. Simple and clear” she explained “But why, what did we ever do to you? Why are you after my family?” he asked “Your beloved wife, Malina; she took our money and ran away. She was working for us and suddenly one day she never came back. She had to get a payment from a client but she never turned up. I got worried and sent someone to follow her. She had taken the money and hidden it somewhere. No one knows where. We want what is ours and nothing else” said her boss Mr. Black. “Oh my God, now I understand, Katana was also worried about the money, that’s why she had also been asking around for help, but what nobody knew was why she needed so much cash” said Shane Read the next part here
