It was an old key with some sort of markings on it. She kept thinking who would send her a key and what would they want her to do with it. Alice had just left her office and was carrying the parcel she had just received. There was no name on it, so she couldn't make out who had sent it to her. When she reached home, her door was open and the place was strewn about. Someone was still in her apartment. She quickly dialed the police and informed them about the break-in. she waited for the police to get there and arrest the Intruders. What would they want with her, why would they break-in to her apartment? This was all too strange for her, first she received an anonymous key then someone breaks into her apartment. Was all this happening because of the key? Could the key be so important that someone would go to this length to retrieve it? The police took the intruders into custody and questioned them about who had sent them and what were they looking for in the apartment. They wouldn't say anything but they did mention that this was no random robbery. Alice wanted to know more about the key and why she was the chosen one for the key. She couldn't find much information about the key except that this kind of a key was used in the 1800's by the British. Where was this key for? She couldn't understand anything; all this was a big mystery to her. The next day she received a confidential letter stating that she was a member of a secret organization as her grandfather and her father were before her and she was to become the member when she was ready for it and that’s why she has received the key to the door which leads to the room where the members interacted. The letter also stated that she was to attend the next meeting and learn about its method of functioning. She was in shock, neither her grandfather nor her father ever told her about the secret organization and what they did. She kept thinking what to do, whether to go or not? She was to make her decision by tonight and signal it to the members to receive the map for the venue and the time for the next meeting, if she decides to go. All her questions would be answered about the disappearance of her grandfather and father and the recent happenings in her house. So she plucked up the courage and decided to go. It was 5 o’clock in the evening; Alice had just left for the meeting. As she reached the door, she fished the key out from her bag and opened the door. She was stunned at the sight; both her father and her grandfather were standing right in front of her. She couldn't believe her eyes. How did they get there, they had been missing for years, even the police had given up and declared them both dead. When she could breathe a little her father told her that it was all a scheme to trick the enemy and let them loosen up. The organization essentially worked under the radar to protect critical information and documents from going into the wrong hands. Other details would be disclosed to her in the coming meetings now that she was ready to be a part of the organization and she would carry the legacy forward.
