The Enchanters (concluding part)
Continued from here
“You need to assume your powers quickly; your whole village depends on you now. One more thing, you need to do this alone, Jack can’t help you or be with you” she said.
“Right mom, let’s do this. For our village and our ancestors who sacrificed themselves so that we could have a better life” said Natalie.
“Best of luck honey, I’ll wait for you” said Jack kissing Natalie on her forehead.
“Thanks honey for being so supportive. I love you” said Natalie.
Anna took Natalie to a basement in their house. And Jack waited upstairs in the living room.
“What is this place?” she asked
“This is the place from where you will become the enchanter of this generation” said her mom.
Anna told Natalie to stand on the podium in the center of the room and told her to stay still.
“We call upon our ancient powers, our ancestors to come and bestow their powers on their daughter” said Anna thrice pointing her hands towards the sky. Suddenly Natalie felt dizzy and fell on the floor.
“Natalie Natalie, are you okay?” asked Anna “I feel a little light headed mom” she said
“Don’t worry, you will be okay. Come let’s take you upstairs”
After resting for about an hour, Anna went to wake up Natalie and told her that it was time. They were here. Natalie got ready and went outside her house. She saw that the whole sky was black and the people from her village were scared and running all around in panic.
“Oh God, how am I supposed to do this mom. I’m so scared” she said
“Be strong honey, you are their only hope, the heir to the throne; you have to do it for them and your family. You know how to use your powers, It’s all inside you.” said her mom.
With that thought in mind Natalie stepped in to the battle. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. She knew what she had to do and how she had to use her powers.
“Who are you? What are you doing here?” asked the evil King
“I’m Natalie. I’m here to defeat you. I’m the heir to the throne now” said Natalie.
Natalie didn’t do anything and just said something in her mouth. A large lightning bolt came down and hit the King.
“Very clever dear but a little thing like this won’t kill me. You will have to do better than this” he said.
The evil King started with his tricks. The village was being destroyed in front of Natalie’s eyes and she couldn’t do anything to stop him. She started to cry and closed her eyes, she didn’t want to watch it but just then she heard her grandfather’s voice telling her to be strong and stay calm and look for loose cannon. She opened her eyes immediately and told one of her soldiers to quietly go on the other side and find a snake in their army.
“Why should I help you?” asked the snake.
“We will let you live after we defeat your King” said the soldier.
“Why should I believe you?” he asked.
“It’s your choice, you will die if you stay in the battle and get to live of you come with me. The choice is yours” said the soldier and started to walk.
“Wait! Hold on. I will come with you, but no one should know about this” he said firmly.
“Your Highness, if you get him to change to his other self, King Zion, you will be able to defeat him.” he said.
“His other self?” asked Natalie surprised.
“Yes My Lady, the King has two personalities, one that you see and the other of a hilarious and a jovial man. He can’t help himself if he starts laughing he changes into this good man who is very good in nature and lovable at heart. If you want to defeat him just get him to laugh” said the snake.
“Thank you for the information. You can go now” said Natalie to the snake. She thought about it for sometime because she did not have a lot of time, her village was being destroyed as she was coming up with a plan.
“What will you do now little girl, you are helpless against my power, you are weak. I will destroy you” said the evil King.
“In your dreams King Knievel” said Natalie and again said the magic words to call the thunder.
The thunder bolt again hit the King and he said “I know you can do better than this, try something new”.
She again called the thunder bolt and again the king laughed. She did this 5 – 6 times and the King was laughing uncontrollably.
“Oh my God, this is happening again. Not now, not when I’m about to win” thought the King in his mind.
After the King stopped laughing he had changed to his other self, the one that was co- operative and helpful. He asked Natalie if instead of fighting, both the Kingdoms could live in peace.
“Yes of course, but you will have to sign a peace treaty saying that you will not attack us and the two Kingdoms will live in peace forever” commanded Natalie.
“As you wish Your Highness, we will do as per your wish” he said. Soon after, the peace treaty was signed and the two Kingdoms rejoiced. As an alternative to fighting, killing people and destroying lives Natalie was able to achieve what no one was able to do for such a long time.
“I’m so proud of yourself my dear daughter, you did what your ancestors had wanted to do but were never able to do so. I’m so happy their souls will be at peace now” said her mother Anna.
Natalie and Jack decided to stay there for a while and enjoy their time with the family. Natalie had been so far from her family for a long time and now she had the opportunity to spend some quality time with them which she didn’t want to drop.
