A sweet story
Varun and Soni were planning this event for over a month now. Going over each detail, making sure everything is in order. They made contingency plans in case anything went wrong on the D-day. They wanted this day to be perfect.
“How are you not worried about this?” asked Varun.
“Relax Varun, we’ve planned everything, we’ve gone over each and every detail at least five times.” said Soni.
Both the siblings were poles apart. Soni was a very relaxed and calm kind of a girl but Varun was just the opposite, worrying about everything, tense and hyper active. This difference was the reason behind many fights between them.
It was already past lunch and still the decorator hadn’t shown up. And as usual Varun was worried how things would get done on time. He tried calling him but no answer. At last they decided to chuck the decorator and do the remaining decorations on their own.
The place looked gorgeous. It was almost sun down and that made the colors of the decoration even more pretty. It was a scene not to be missed and both Varun and Soni were happy with their arrangement.
Finally the day was upon them and they were very excited to be a part of it. It was their parents’ 25th wedding anniversary and they had planned a surprise party for them. Their parents had been out of station for some time now, and they had taken this time to plan the surprise party for them.
All the guests had arrived and they were just waiting for their parents to show up. Everything was in order and the place looked beautiful.
Finally when their parents arrived they were taken by surprise. They happily joined the party and everything was going as planned but when the cake was brought in and about to cut, something happened. Worms were coming out of the cake and everybody started laughing. Varun was fuming. He said to Soni “What do we do now? You told me nothing could go wrong and look what’s happened.”
Nothing much could be done as of that moment, Soni quickly thought of serving the guests with her homemade cupcakes.
But that sight was hilarious, seeing her parents reaction when the worms started coming out. Varun didn’t think it was funny at the moment but he would someday and tell this story to his kids and laugh about it.
